Happy news from the orange groves: it's neroli season!
The harvest
In April and May, across the Mediterranean and North Africa, bitter orange trees come into bloom. The delicate white blossoms are picked by hand in the early morning light, right as they open, which is a big part of why Neroli is such a treasure.
It's one of my favourite times of the year, because I get to travel to Corsica (or somewhere just as lovely) for it. I'm so excited for the new crops, so we can get our essential oils stocked up for you.
Neroli smells like orange blossom: sweet, floral and softly citrusy. I hope you love it as much as I do.
