How We Source: Stillness Before Distillation

At Delune, we don’t just collect plants. We enter into relationship with them.

Whether it’s a highland herb, a desert resin, or a sun-warmed citrus grove, our approach to sourcing is guided by respect, restraint, and rhythm. Every plant we distill — wild or cultivated — is selected with intention, harvested in season, and never pushed beyond what the land can renew.

We work with growers, gatherers, and distillers who honour the same code:
First, do no harm. Then, distill only what holds the plant’s true character — alive, intact, and uncompromised.

Some of our oils come from gently wildcrafted material — gathered in overgrown or fire-prone areas where selective harvesting supports the ecosystem. Others are grown organically, with no shortcuts and no chemical intervention. Across both our Pure Essential Oils and Organic Wellness Grade Essential Oils ranges, we monitor quality and integrity at every step, whether through our PristiQuant™ assurance or our Field to Sealed promise.

We give back by replanting native species, clearing waste from wild habitats, and simply observing the land — often for years — before taking anything at all. This kind of patience is rare in the world of essential oils. But for us, it’s essential.

We also practice codistillation — combining different botanicals and resins in the same still — allowing us to create complex scent profiles with minimal impact. It means smaller harvests, lower carbon output, and a deeper harmony between ingredients.

It’s not the fastest way. But it’s the truest.
